** note: i'm really pleased with how these turned out-- this was a day in which every stroke seemed to just 'work' -- as mentioned, these were timed (2 min) and sometimes you run out of time and/rush through these -- and you end up with a mess! ..but today just flowed and i'm really happy with the results! this is good training for me (as i tend to noodle on the details and get to caught up with over-rendering areas.. these exercises force me to accept the brush strokes for what they are and represent and move on)

'Teapots' -- i'm doing some 3D render tests in Maya, using Mental Ray (final gather, sky light and photons) -- getting back into 3D.. gonna do some 3D illustrations/renderings in the near future and need to brush up on my lighting skillz! :)

'Imperial reflections' -- started this yesterday and finished it today; had fun with this, not my 'normal' subject matter! this was done using my Wacom Cintiq, software was Art Rage (oils and palette knife); total time was about 5-6 hrs

wow-- very cool site/tool that allows you to see a wide range of artwork-- and zoom WAAAAY in to view the details in the brush strokes, etc.. it's things like this that make me love the internet! :)
